How to Win by Learning Blackjack Charts
There are a lot of people who want to know how to win by learning blackjack charts, and there are some basic strategies that are available in the various charts. Be aware that there is not one chart that works by all rules of Blackjack in all casinos that are around the world – simply put, there is no magic formula, but skill and plain good luck certainly play a part.

There are various strategies to winning blackjack that are identified in the charts; some based on one deck of cards and some based on up to eight decks. These strategies are based on the mathematics and probabilities of being dealt specific cards based on what the dealer has in their hand and what the cards the other players have as well. There is absolutely no guarantee that anyone will win based on these formulas, and in most cases the dealer will have the advantage anyway.
Strategies for Single Decks Chart
The most important thing to determine when using these charts is to make sure the dealer is only using one deck. Multiple decks change the charts to some degree, so be aware. The first thing to ensure is that the player knows the difference is between “hard” and “soft” hands. A “hard” hand is the total of the cards that include all the other cards except the Ace; the “soft” hand uses the Ace plus another card.
What makes this a “soft” hand is that the Ace can be worth either one point or eleven points. For example if the player has an Ace and a six, their total is either seven or 17, and based on what the dealer’s hand shows, the player would double down or hit. Whatever skill level the player has reached, understanding and remembering these charts is extremely important when the goal is to win the hand.
Strategies for Using Multiple Decks Charts
Many casinos use up to eight decks of cards for efficiency – they don’t have to continuously shuffle the decks after just a hand or two. It also increases the odds in favor of the house, and discourages card counting. When utilizing these charts, make sure to use the appropriate chart based on the number of decks being used. As in single deck games, there is a difference between “hard” and “soft” hands.
The “hard” and “soft” hands are exactly the same as in a game using only one deck. Aces make a “soft” hand because they count as either one point or eleven points. Players will “Hit”, “Draw”, or “Stand” based on the cards in their hand and the card the dealer has showing.
